Sounds like Dave is putting " Live Free or Die " to a test. He's needing to meet with the local fire marshal about a burn permit.
Looks like a good time guys. Maybe another time. I still have plenty to cut here plus I’m trying to soak up family time before it’s back to school.
Eh, this year has not been too dry so he should be able to get one. They just want to come up and look to make sure you aren't set up in such a way to burn your neighbor's place down.
Wish I could make it! Be safe and have fun and make some cuts for me! Don't forget the Pic's or it didn't happen!
Wait a second something doesn’t sound right about this. You need a permit to burn in the “Live free or die state”? Is that a statewide permit or something local depending on the location? Forgive my ignorance, I live in a semi rural area of PA & if I want to burn brush or tops I just call the local fire department & let them know so if anyone call to report a fire at my land they know what’s up. Other than that I just light up. I am of course sensible enough not to burn during dry periods.
After reading my previous post & thinking about the lack of common sense in so many things these days maybe a permit isn’t such a bad thing.
Sounds like that " crazy hoarder lady ", will be returning from WeldrDave's, with some primo firewood! Not one day, but two days, and with a trailer! Could be the sweetest 2-day hoarding effort for her, evah!
Imagine that... A board full of fellow firewood junkies, many of whom are also looking to escape the police state of New Jersey and heading north to New Hampshire of all places. I feel like I've found my people.
Perfect! Dave is in NH! We now have a pic. Any problem driving onto the property! I'm looking forward to getting there in the am.
No problem driving up the drive,he already has done some grading. I was even able to turn around. We think I'd better leave the trailer down on the road, though, and he'll bring wood down with the loader.
Dave has a beautiful spot! He gave me a warm welcome, and we spent a cool, relatively bug-free afternoon under the sugar maples. He had cut some next to the drive for me to take, and I barely put a dent in it. The well... The potty!
