That "floating" hearth pad (probably not calling it the correct name) looks awesome.

Now for some reason I still can't see the original post pics, but I can see them if I click on them in your quote here...odd.

Thank you. That was a bit of a complication in the process. They had to bring the height of the existing "hearth" down a bit, in order to get the access panel from the new stove to pull down and open (to get to the blower dial or the blower itself). When they pulled the tiles up to do that, they found a concrete form was poured. So they had to now chisel that down and inch or so to fit the new hearth on and keep the stove panel functional.

Funny how you like the floating hearth type look. I was just telling my wife the other day that if the project wasn't taking longer than expected, my ideal look would to have built the bottom out more, underneath the hearth. But said the hell with it, just go with what was there! LOL.

They aren't showing up for me on the original post anymore. But show fine on the second page, when I did the upload from my phone.

Wow that looks great. Well done. I have an uncle that does this for a living and makes a fortune. Yours is every bit as nice as the stuff I’ve seen him do.

Keep pics under like 8 mb. That's the easiest way. Crop pics to get 8 mb or under.

Thank you! My brother in law MAINLY builds chimneys and installs liners, etc. But when he does get the chance to take on stuff like this, it is beautiful.
