    Don't have wife & kids and not marked the primary air rod.

    I just set up the burn where I like it by slowly closing the primary air, then close it all the way, open it about 1/4" and watch the fire to see if it changes. The closing is just to make sure where closed is and then the opening slightly is to make sure there is some small amount of primary air still open. Really haven"t tried it totally closed. Works for me for 10+ hour burns and heat.

    Going to do something with mine this summer, now that's its colder the stove seems to like to take off on me once in a while so I have been adjusting it more then normal, when the temps were in the teens and above it ran like clock work, now at times it can take off on me. A 800 degree stove is hot.:startled:

    I marked my rod with hi vis paint I had for gun sights. I just put a little dot of paint its green. I marked at half inch and not sure what the others are but the half inch mark is one I use the most. As its half inch behind the spring tip thingy and the point I usually go to for the all night burn.
