    Not fully automatic but you buy one with a key like most cars have and when doggie needs to go in or out just presses a button. Works like a charm. It is the training that is tough.

    Perfect!! They were trained to ring a large jingle bell when they were little, but my old Brittany took advantage of me (she wanted in and out every 5 minutes in my state of health I reacted automatically like shifting in a car :picard:) - That darling lil Brittany is gone but the bell is still here and the two dogs we have left I am guessing will still remember. I could hear the bell ring and press the button, AWESOME!!

    Some pics. Railroad ties will be sawed off to height at some point, white 4x4 cemented tonight is an end for the gate for the new yard. Yep, pellet grill is not welcome here anymore, there is our burn barrel/BBQ.

    I can't imagine a doggie door here, without a mudroom. A mudroom for dawgs to do their thing, not go outside on a whim.
    A friend of mine has a mudroom, with a doggie door going outside. The trash pandas always get in through that door. Can be chaos at times.

    Sorry about the PPE......

    Now we just need wire fencing on the inside, we're going stronger gauge this time (he calls is "hog" wire ). Oh, and finish painting the old snow fence here from previous owners, yikes, that old wood drank up a ton of paint, practically sucked it out of the brush, and bummer, it's too warped to run a roller on.

    Lil one has a loose tooth, no its not what you might think.

    WWW had a Tim the Toolman moment. Borrowed this from his work. He bought 5 x 7 hogwire and cut the panels to fit.
