Thanks Chris, I agree!! I'd love to think it was leaking from behind the frame, but its new. Only 2 successful cycles so far in less than 2 weeks (and they were test cycles) Yep, I would love to have my old crank dial dishwasher from 20 years ago now! As well as the older detergent that cleaned better and the shorter cleaning times too. :picard:

This little story is not going to help you much but it might be worth a laugh.
Some 30 years ago when we or I was putting in our wood fired heating system, someone, and I cannot remember who, suggested that we run the hot water to the dishwasher at whatever the highest temperature from the boiler as possible - in this case it was 195 F. Well, at this temperature, dish detergent was not necessary. The dirtiest pots would come clean with no streaking.
With a wood heating system and our children being small, I would make a sweep of the house every night before bed time looking for any possible problems. This particular night it smelt like something was burning in the kitchen and the smell seemed to originate from inside the dishwasher that was in full wash cycle. No way there could be a fire inside the dishwasher when running ???? When I got home after work next day, Woodwidow said there were fragments of bone in the dishwasher, which really did not make sense as we were vegetarians at the time. Sure enough the fire had been inside the running dish washer!! The plastic tube that ran up the inside-wall of the washer had disintegrated from the extremely hot water and had partly melted where it had fallen onto the heating element!
Because we like very clean dishes and go through a machine about every 3 years, we now buy our dishwasher from the thrift store.

I'm sorry to report NO. I ordered it on the internet, then it sat past 30 day store return in our garage till our remodel was ready for it till we unboxed it when I began this thread (it was shipped from NJ to WY   no way to ship it back). I am still working with GE now, well within the 1 year warranty. So far they have been responsive albeit almost a week inbetween contact.:headbang: I am in the midst of the one step at a time going up the corporate guideline steps :headbang: Thanks for letting my vent! I special ordered it for my particular needs and spent good money on it...............

So... how does that happen? A dishwasher is a little bigger than say... a toaster... good grief. You'd have thought they might have noticed. Hope you see it Friday WW.

This thread is starting to unfortunately sound like a soap opera. You have my full sympathy with all the trouble you are going through. I hate putting out lots of money in the expectations of someone doing things right and it all falls apart.

The delivery guy made another 6 hour round trip and brought the dishwasher yesterday! And I did hear the GE lady correctly, installation not included lol. Hubby has new dishwasher hooked up. Running a test cycle before we put it under the counter:rootintootin:
