I am running stock bar and chain right now but I really need to get a 72 and dump that 70...

They aren't bad at all but it is certainly a little slower like with that bar and chain. It's a very good quality heavy bar and I can't bring myself to discard it is the problem lol.

391 is even better. More power, same weight.

I've read of several nose sprocket failures which put me off on the idea of buying 70dl chains for which i have no other use. I have other saws that use 72 or 68, just seemed like a better idea to "save" the OEM bar for re-sale.

I picked up several bars from Jon1212 (thanks again Jon) and have been running an OEM Shindaiwa bar.

That is why i spent the cash on 2 of them as spending $900 on one Stihl which will only last me 2 or 3 years, i am thinking these might last 5 or 6 years for the same price? hopefully longer! ;) These 590's run good and strong and i cant find a problem yet.

Thats a lie as i did read into them and they do leak bar oil when sitting upright for a period of time.
Not a big deal in my little mind.:smoke:

    Mine doesn't leak a drop.

One the few saws I have that doesn't. Chainsaws are like British sports cars and motorcycles; if there ain't no oil under it, there ain't no oil in it. :wacky:

Guy down the road stopped in the other day and mentioned that the new saw was trying to look like a stihl with the orange?
Funny 20 mins later as he was using it stated how nice it was to run.:coffee:
