I take it your are talking about replacing a LogRite tip. If so, make sure you get a real roll pin punch, you can't knock them out with a normal pin punch.

I tried everything including heat and a press, you need a roll pin punch. I bought these cheap ones.

 

Sorry. I think you had can’t hook tip and not hookaroon.
But yes that is what I was talking about.
