Also, it is a front loading stove. Which gives people more options. For some, side loading is not an option.

The ONLY other option they aren't offering that I would like to see is hinges on the left or the right on the front loading door.

Looks like it is right side hinges only. Left side would work better for two of the three locations in my home. But, I am not your typical stove owner.

I want to see this stove in all black. The two-tone with sea-foam legs isn't doing them any favors right now. I do like the illustration in BrianK's avatar.

Left would work better for me but not a big deal. I keep my wood and tools to the right of my stove but just having a front load, regardless of left or right, will be a convenience. My Fireview opens on the right but its not optimal where me stove is located.

This stove is going to have shorter clearances to combustibles. Between that, and using the top vent and double wall stove pipe, I'll be able to move this stove farther back into my corner instal. So even though this stove is larger its going to take up less space in my living room.

Those are great numbers and that is one cool stove. I'm really excited to see it and excited for you getting to run it this winter. Can't wait to hear your reviews.

Gotta ask, where did you come up with the term sea-foam green?

I'm not who you're asking, but "sea foam green" was an old nitrocellulose lacquer color offered on 50's GM cars and has become a standard color shade description. Those lacquers were used on old Fender guitars, and sea foam is my absolute favorite!

Thanks Dave. They are top notch up there at Woodstock. They designed a beautiful stove from of a very simple image/idea.

Less than three weeks now till we see it in person.

Brian, if it performs as good as it looks, they will have a huge success on their hands. I agree, Woodstock is top notch.

...and here is a key point... Long burn times AND Top/Rear exit, adjustable legs AND Looks good AND personalization AND $2K this is going to be a winner because not everyone needs the luxurious beauty of the Soapstone and many do need very long burn times.. but I don't care what you say, Fugly is Fugly, unless your sticking it down in the dungeon and no one wants that.

This is going to be fun to watch, kinda' like Harley's new bikes upping the ante' as the Victory bikes and new Indians get competitive.

As a guy that was a product manager for many years in the computer industry.. I would love to be the product manager of the Steal Union. Because nothing beats holding all those differentiators.. and it's fun winning.

So, how adjustable is this stove? What is the minimal height?

I have not seen any numbers on this but judging by the drawing and photos so far it looks like there is about six inches of height adjustment on the sides:

Under the Hood 11: The Cooktop

The cooktop consists of three burners. The center burner always has a decorative design. The outside burners are held in place with centering pins, and the middle burner is fastened to an 8” round cutout in the top. The burners are different heights, to create a temperature variation across the burners (data on that later).

The center burner is a little thicker than the outside burners. The center burner also lifts out (with a “helping hand”) to reveal a stainless steel shield just above the active combustor - creating a VERY HOT cooking space - perfect for a wok, or sauteing at very high temperatures. This is the high burner!

In the video below you will see the "helping hand" at work, exposing the high heat area below the center burner.

(Go to the Woodstock blog entry to view the video.)

The Helping Hand will lift the burner or open the door when the
stove is hot. It stores on the back of the stove.

The center burner can be removed for high heat cooking.
Under the burner is a stainless steel shield, and the intense
    heat of the catalytic combustor!

This leads to my next question of; I wonder what the minimum height is? And is it under 25"?
