Keep at it. I file my chains mainly on the saw and it only takes a couple minutes because I don't wait till they are dull. Usually 2 zips of the file on each tooth is all unless I got into some fence or rocks or dirt or.... I figured I would try the square cuz everyone talks about how fast the cut is and I'm thinking if I can get good at square filing the little more time it will take will make up for it while cutting. I'm planning on only using that chain on green wood for now till I get it down to where I'm handy enough to sharpen fairly quickly. Round filing cuts pretty good for me, but if I can get a 25% gain in cutting speed as folks say, it may well be worth the effort. Plus braggin' rights... LOL
My 036 and 044 have double dogs. The 036 came with an inner dog that is an old design apparently. I ordered an outside dog online and it stuck out too far. Same profile and tooth count just half inch longer on the dogs. Nothing a metal bandsaw and file wouldn't fix. I made the outer dog for the 044 and a new metal inner for my 180. I made a computer model and cut them on a waterjet cnc machine. I will have double dogs on any saw that can mount them. Once the saw bites the wood you can just plant the dogs and pivot around them to cut with alot less work.
Looks like those dawgs got the grip but the chain is due for some new teeth... You've been doing some serious cuttin' with that thing... That 460 might be wantin' to try a square dance???
The original chain when i bought the powerhead used in the Winter 2018. Got a new 28" bar and chain from the dealer. Just got a new chain for Xmas, havent used it yet. Have 20&36" bars i use too. 28 is normally what it wears.
