Getting to the point where the visual progress slows down. The roof is on with some loose ends to wrap up. The wiring is next along with setting the windows.

looks great... 1 question.. where flashed into house.. is that way you've always done it? will it be metal roof..? in my experience here that corner by window would leak due to snow build up and heat loss by window .. not trying to be negative... here... jmo.. I would remove siding and flash 2 feet up wall..

Not trying to be the Internet shoulda done it my way guy... fuelrod I admire your skills and I have very limited experience with metal siding and roofing

Those are the loose ends that I mentioned about the roof. It's only a 6/12 pitch but enough to make me very nervous being metal. I also have the ridge to install along with those 3 areas of flashing at the adjoining walls and the new gable ends.:jaw: Actually a good bit of work there left and I'm definitely procrastinating thinking it would be a good job to do on a cool day.

Well I got the roof "tightened up" and have been working on the interior. Re worked the LP gas line and extended the dryer exhaust vent, wired for elec. and got started on the pine on the walls. I've seen enough drywal in my life (and I suck at finishing it) and there's a local mill that sells pine boards for 40 cents a b/f planed, sanded & with a "shiplap" so that our interior everything.

This is the upstairs room. Finished the ceiling yesterday and today worked on a couple of fake beams to break it up a little.

Been slackin' on progress pics and updates. We're finished the interior and are moving into the bedroom - the upstairs room.
The floor is not painted in this pic and there's no baseboard on yet.

    It's hard to take a pic of a 14' roomo_O

The down stairs room showing the acid colored (stain) floor just after I sprayed it. That's just a plain old concrete slab, that the minerals in it react with what's in the acid stain.

The little counter bump out in the above pic hides the dryer vent (that used to be an outside wall) and hides the little 2 loop manifold for the radiant heat, which is working very nicely right now.

I just started working on the exterior. Been getting shut down with the rain & wind lately.

DSCN0637.jpg It's nice to have the sun come up in your room, must be part rooster :D although right now, it go's 'round the building at about 9;00 in the AM.
That 4 window wall is just about dead north, nice moon & stars last night. BTW, that room got one of the inside ductless mini split units in it, mostly for the a/c. The heat side works very nicely. We still have not fired up the wood boiler yet. My soon (next) project is to replace the refractory in it before we start this season.:picard: I installed a duct from the wood boiler room to this bedrm with a small in line fan. The boiler room is usually at least 90*! I'm very curious to see how this works, free excess heat mainly. The rest of the house is radiant and it would have been more than I wanted to do extending the radiant into this room.
