Never take sass from anyone, unless its FIREWOOD!

Nice score Brad. I just cut some down sass myself this weekend as I was lot clearing.
Have one I believe is dead. Hoping its just a late bloomer.
My BIL wants some for smoking cheese.

 

Snapped these pics of pileated damage on a couple of the sass rounds yesterday. One round had three separate holes. Both rounds had insect damage.

Compost. Blew it into the woods! Returned it to the Earth!

 

I just tossed three whole mature sass trees that blew down behind the tractor shed into a gully on Sunday. Makes for good fill material.
