So , Oregon , 28" Husky 009 mount , 3/8 , 50 ga Power Cut bars . Are $81. At West Coast Saw . I'll check at Madsen's but expect they are about the same price . Will see who has the best shipping . Madsen's has always been great on the shipping part .
I still have Oregon 3 rivet tip bars that cut dead straight . In 7' diameter logs .
But, I don't have a need for 42" bars in the Interior.
I would love to go back to 30" bars . Pretty much the perfect length for me for production cutting . For here in the Interior, a 32 is just a bit too long for limbing and the 28 is just a bit too short .
I have a 30" inseam and find that 30" bars and 30" axe handles are perfect for me .

That's cool that the Husky Flippy caps fit on the 394 . Would have loved to have them on all my 394s. I sent the last one I had to a guy in Canada 10 or12 years ago . I had 5 of them that I busheled with . Awesome saws !!

I just noticed more breaks in this bar .
As near as I can see , there are no cracks adjacent to the lightening slots . But there are more between the powerhead and the slots. 20251102_091155.jpg

Sorry about the poor lighting in the pic .
This bar is absolutely straight . Can tell that the steel alloy is Hard . Just too hard or not tough/flexible enough
