Can't change the state of the nation A load of firewood is worth much than the 2 candidates put together
This entire thread is ironic. I had to drive somewhere this morning, about an hour from home and on my way back was at least two pickup loads of 24-30 inch maple sitting on the roadside by someones house. Since I was already very late for work, I had to pass it by. If on my way home, I would have loaded it on somehow. I now see the frustration. Aside from it being so far out of the way, this stuff is right on a busy road, so I am certain it is gone. How did you make out?
I'm playing the waiting game as my hands are tied with this thing called "WORK" It rained and has turned colder...plus plus....will see if the final tree is down tonight....quite sure (or should I say I'd be floored) if the goods were gone--you have spurned me into taking tomorrow afternoon off to get this stuff as my determination has not lessened in the least--btw there were 7 other trees (all maple) marked the same way in the opposite direction of these I have noticed so you know what that means---don't get in my way....
Yea The "work" that pays the bill gotta be 1st But There's a lot to be said for the work that's involved with firewood When you can do both, It Makes you feel good
I've taken the afternoon off to address this issue---I have lots of vacation as I don't have a significant other to coordinate that with---this makes me deeper and deeper into hoarding and less likely all the time to find a "good man"....dam the torpedoes!
BINGO!!!the half day off did it! Three loads! I will post pictures tomorrow as this will be an early night...and my picture posting perfection leaves much to be desired...but the satisfaction level is way high and I'm famished....more oak than maple and not a peep from anyone....took everything manageable for a "good woman" woooooo!hoooooo!
