Honestly if anyone’s looking at the butt circular cuts. Anyone think this fella used an electric saw? Just pointing out that it was either the dullest saw on the planet or not something to handle that weight pinch. Good way to bury the hatchet...for lack of a better term.

Kimberly I notice that the time stamps happen when people put their comments on and the page either doesn’t refresh or he didn’t see more of the replies that were coming in. Just something to think about that if someone’s commenting, they aren’t jumping on you nor would it be good to jump back on them. Just Let it slide. Bringing this topic up was a bit of an ‘opening a can of worms’ when it should have been put to bed awhile back. This is Your neighbor, we’re just bystanders in the woods here.

This was all a good thing. The reason I say that is because I think he thought he could burn that wood now. He was really surprised when I showed him that the moisture on the fresh cut maple was 40%. I explained to him about seasoned wood and showed him what dry wood should read. Some things may happen for a reason.

It does if I can help prevent him from getting hurt. See YP, you do mind reading all the time. I don't like those that claim to be mightier than thou.

I did not get into saws with him but I did wonder if the chain was sharp etc. I offered to walk the woods with him to see what can be cut; and we will use THE BEAST on the larger stuff. When we get into cutting; if that happens, there will be time to educate on saws. He wasn't wearing chaps and I am not sure he had on proper eye protection and hearing protection. I started to mention chaps but figured it wasn't the time.

As I said, maybe this all happened for a reason.

Plus, it was blocking the only road I have down to the little valley. And to walk away Sunday with the wood and brush still blocking my road seemed strange to me, especially after I offered to help him. So say what you want folks, I am the good neigbhour here and he is being the bad neighbour. It will be interesting to see if he says anything about the brush after I cleaned it all up.

I am not a neat freak by any means. Maybe some of you just leave the brush where it is. Dad always cut and pile it neatly and I do the same, even for trees I cut down in the woods. We tend to do what we were taught growing up. I don't default anyone if they don't pile their brush, it is just the way I want to do things. I dragged the brush and made a neat pile away from the view of their kitchen window. As for the wood, I didn't haul it to the house for him but I did pile it in one place.
