Next door neighbor had a dead red oak that needed to come down. His step dad did the felling with the help of the winch on my grizzly. I let him use the 562 for felling duty. He was impressed. Once it was on the ground the 562 made short work of it with a little help from his 455 rancher. It was 28" across the stump. Here are the only pictures I got. We took down the fence to be sure there was a good escape route. Fence horseshoed around the tree.
Nice sized rounds you got there. Did you have any problems with bugs or disease? I see a couple holes near the trunk. What size bar did you have on the 562?
Didn't see any bugs, but yes it had a hollow spot about 4" around 8' up. The 562 is rocking the 20" Sugihara bar.
You are really going to hate me Dave, heading up on the hill behind the house to start splitting 6 nice White Oaks I have down.

Temps stayed in the 70 with cloud cover today so I got it all split with some help from my neighbor. Then his wife came out and helped load the trailer. Got 1 rick stacked and another 1 1/2 on the ground before the rain started. It was a good day. I'm starting to re-think these 22-23.5" long rounds. Just about kick our buts.
It looks like you could use a pickaroon. Righting those rounds is a lot easier when you can tag the far side and give it a yank to get it upright.
Wow...Those are great neighbors to have. Glad to hear about your 562 and it performance. Cant wait for mine. I finally got my bars ordered, should be on there way here.

GrJfer, what's that splitter you have? Looks like mine, I think mines a 12 ton, does the job and is easy to move around.
