Yeah. I don’t know if it’s our elevation? Lack of humidity? Super cold winters? For some reason poison ivy just doesn’t do well in this climate. I’ve probably seen in other states I was driving through, but just didn’t recognize it, since I don’t see it where I live.

If that tree isn't dead yet, it will be soon if those vines aren't chopped off at the bottom. I chop a 3" section out of every vine I see on a tree in our woods. Usually a tree will recover after the vines are killed. We had Grapevine in our woods really bad when we got it and I've been cutting it where ever I find it.

We have a lot of poison ivy also and I don't typically get it if I go wash good after getting in it. I cut it with the chainsaw a lot, but I always try to cut it with the top of the bar so the chips are sprayed away from me instead of getting it all over my chaps and boots.

I’m not familiar with that bittersweet vine either. But those look like nice little rounds. I’d stack em’ and burn em!

only saved the one. Ive heard they are good for carving. The berries are orange and open to reveal an inner red. Popular Fall decorations around here. My mom used to use them for such. They were rampant on the stone wall across the street from her house.
