Need Saw Reccomendations

Echo CS-590,60cc,$400 for a pro duty saw & 5 yr consumer warranty.Best bang for the buck out there IMO.

 

362 fan here. Biased opinions coming...

I have one and love it. I've cut close to 40 cord of wood with it and it hasn't given me an ounce of trouble. Pull the rope 4 times and cut wood. Every time. Tap out the filter every couple days, sharpen the chain, and keep it fed. That's it. Not saying it is the best...but it is darned good.

You pay more no doubt. It may be a little overweight too.

Remove 6 screws...pull the muffler...drill a 3/8" hole and it really screams.

 

For me the fun of buying a toy or tool is shopping, oogling new stuff BS'n with the tool guys etc.

My weekly Craigslist search brought me to a sale, an hour or two away... if I were in the market id make a date of it, tour around with the mrs...maybe do some wine tasting then bam! buy a chainsaw!

In all seriousness I understand and agree!
All chainsaws mentioned will get the job done, and are all good machines.
If price is a concern(Craigslist!) you could make a bro date and check out used chainsaws together!

 

Thats a great buy! I believe the 461's are being cleared out for the mystery 70cc saw Stihl is replacing it with.
