So the error code for the motor says if the motor is good it's probably the controller but could be the main control board. Time for the Tannerite. And another Premium...
For S and G's, look for a used or new control board on eBay and such. You never know... When my fridge went this past spring, it was determined that the control board was good. Which reminds me that I need to list that thing.
Glad you’re getting suggestions and making headway PA Mountain Man! Now, if it comes down to your wife washing clothes on flat rocks....? You better believe “Pics or it...” will be the cry of FHC!
the pics I would like to see is PA Mountain Man using the flat rocks in the creek for washing clothes.
Just makes me more adamant that I'll stay with a conventional washer/dryer setup when the time comes.....
I'm trying to save up for a speed queen with manual setting. My family of 5 hasn't worn a set out yet. We have moved and sold old sets with the house though. I have had to replace gasket, seals, bearings, valves, sensors....but knock on wood no main boards. I've only bought one washer and dryer set new. The rest have been used when people remodeled or moved. My wife gets a little upset when I refuse to buy new and repair 10+ year old appliances. ...or cars. I get wanting newer things. But if I can fix it for what a month or two payments are on new I'm money ahead to fix it myself...or have my 14 year old daughter do it while I'm in the road.
Good luck with that! Conventional ones are going the way of the dinosaurs. We just bought a set before Christmas, it’s still a top loader but no agitator. I don’t like it as well as the 30+ year old one that is now sitting on the porch, that in hindsight I could have fixed. I don’t consider any new appliances “durable goods” anymore
We got a new Speed Queen set last Spring. Full water levels and an agitator. I recommend them to all my customers.
Did ya get it working alright MM? The fancy whirlpool we HAD to have did the same thing and after i got the male plug in through amazon it ended up being the female being corroded. Works fine for now.
I was going to mention similar, my washer throws different random codes when pump filter cup gets full, and other signs are a load is still quite wet after spin cycle if it finishes the cycle, or it just quits in the middle of the cycle with water still in the tub. Weird so similar though mine is a Samsung. Edit, I just saw what you found in the drain filter. I hope the black plastic in there is not from the washer.
Got one of the LG top load all the bells type about 7 years ago- junk- main board and the hall effect circuit ( which is part of stator) are kaput. Cost of parts 2/3 price of unit. not going to happen - no agitator type don't clean worth a hoot. Grabbed an old maytag conventional for the time being. Note if you have an Electronic control unit put a big filter in the electric line- one that covers Hot, Neutral and the Ground lines- There is too much garbage on the grid that wipes out these things- Noise, voltage spikes, ect.
Put it back in... I wouldn't have changed it if it was working. I also don't buy machines in pairs/sets. I know...I'm no help at all.
