Ok so did lots of research; to get tool and 2 batteries, that were in stock was at least $200. Friend even offered his Ryobi but still needed 2 batteries and charger. So went this morning to our local OPE dealer. She held gas and electric wacker. Same weight. Gas gets lighter when not full. So we got gas echo for $150. $100 cheaper than electric echo with 1 battery and 5 year warranty.. Of course obligatory pic

 

And, with the right oils, they smell better than electric too. Lol

 

She will love it. My 5-year-old Echo still starts right up with next to no effort.

 

She already used it..

 

All my echo products have been that way. Currently I have two blowers and one saw. I've had two other Echo saws as well that I ended up selling. They were as reliable as an anvil as well.

 

Ive been using an Echo hand held blower for years. When it dies (either falling off roof or breaking rope) i replace it with the same model. Very reliable. Had an old weed whacker that i scrounged from God knows where. The thing worked and i did nothing to it. Died finally last year.

 

My handheld is a PB-250. Just bought a new X770 backpack that I mount on the back of an old rider as I can't wear it. Works slick like that.

 

Reliable and local and in stock were important as well as price. It was cheaper, than other alternatives.
