Same place...I believe DexterDay told me about them a few years ago. I gave the extra to my local school, the shop teacher does some ceramic work with the kids and uses the board pieces in the firing process.

Been in the 60"s daytime fact it was still high 50's this morning 3 AM so stove is currently cold. Sure is strange weather I do not remember a Dec. this warm ( but then again my memory isn't all that good in some areas either)

Full reload on a nice bed of coals, after dialing in the key damper and air control I'm getting STT of 725 (ir gun), flue temp (probe) 650. I could never get the STT above the flue probe temp before doubling up the baffle boards.

Well, I pulled the extra boards tonight.
I did notice a slight change, but nothing that makes me think I need 'em.
The new material is just a little thinner than the originals.

Maybe not cold enough yet to notice the difference?

Yep, thought about that. We have a house sitter for a few days starting Tues., so I didn't want him to have any issues burning the stove.
Shouldn't have been, but if anyone could, it would be him.:picard:We're due for a warmup, and our setup will have some smoke rollout in warmer temps.

still got the 1" boards in. Gets stove top up to cruising temp much faster, better burn in coaling stages as when I get home the window is not all hazed up or blackish like before with the Oem units. Still temps in 40's days - just plain strange. Rain is becoming the new norm vs snow. ( But I know Mother Nature will nail us sooner or later) Been working on burning up some what rain soaked fire wood by bringing in a bit at a time drying it out in stove area a bit. then burning same- its good on the inside just waterlogged on the out side. Spent 1.5 hrs last night re-stacking a row that headed for China. Been working on that row cause I knew it was going to take a dive. Had to do a bit of fancy foot work to avoid becoming part of the landslide.
