Sorry Jay, I switched products mid-stream there. These are Currans I picked up, not Corinths.

I just dug up the Spring 2015 pricing email dated April 6. Not sure of current pricing

    272 for 80% Soft / 20% Hardwood blend-that answers that question too
    279 for 100% softie

Too much to use them this year-I went all LaCrete at 290

Soooo, looking at my pic of this years Inferno and last years Corinth-The Inferno Gold look too dark to be 80% softwood? Wonder if they have a different formula for the re-bagged stuff?

I doubt that gets answered. I sent 2 emails asking if they were Currans and heard only crickets.

Could be higher hardwood. Or just some softwood that didn't get all the bark out. Or just some fiber let out in the lot and darkin up some?? I remember the McFeeters and even though they were mostly softwood. They were as dark as chows or PTL's.

I've always wanted to saw up some 2x4's and leave the dust in the elements to see what happens. I did once, But the wife cleaned up my mess(thanks dear) the next weekend...... I did check in 3 days and the almost white dust was more orange-ish. I can only assume the longer its out the darker it might turn?? I'm pretty sure water(rain) and other element factors would only help matters?

My nicely split oak logs where white and one season later they were reddish orange. Brown by season 2 and getting black by season 3.

Picked up 2 bags of the Ultra Low Ash Nations Choice last night. The low ash version was a white bag and listed as Hardwood. The Ultra Low Ash is a green bag and does not specify wood type at all. I will post some pics when I open a bag later this week.

5.18 per bag. 259/ton. Even if these are decent they still need to drop at least another 20 per ton IMO
