I decided not to wait til tomorrow. There are many more belted magnums these are just the ones I have in my ammo jar.

I do not own every chambering on the list. I do however own two rifles in .350 Rem Mag and it is a real deer thumper.

Is the 350 considered a short mag? My cousin is big into the different shortmag and wild cats. I’ve never really looked into them until this year when we were talking at deer season. Kind of interesting and gives me the itch to do some shopping

.350 Rem Mag came out first in a single shot handgun in the mid 60’s. Remington decided to chamber it in their new Model 600 bolt action rifle in about 1965. It was supposed to compete with the venerable Win. model 94 but the gun writers hated it. TOO much recoil in the short 18 inch barrel. I love my 600. In reality it was the first short magnum but it was ahead of its time.
The gun writers hated the dog leg bolt and the Dupont plastic vent rib.

I’ve had 3 350’s at one time now down to 2 the above Model 600 and a Remington Model 700 Classic in the box with the action/bolt face still full of assembly grease circa 1985

Your cousin better have ample cash laying around ifn he gets a .350. Nobody makes ammo anymore but there is plenty on GunBroker for around $10 a pop. I have over 400 rounds stashed away at reasonable pricing so that should last me my lifetime.

My gun is real fond of the Remington ammo in 250 grain in the old paper divided box but the deer I hit are not very fond of it.

never have to hit ‘em twice

    never

I would’ve got seven right with no help. Might have done better if I’d got a book out.
