Welcome Jack of All Trades NH ,you got a good set up there, and you are getting really good drying for Red Oak, We have our stacks 20 ft. from the house, and fill wood boxes on the covered front porch that we feed from. Works for us, and we are on the 3 yr. plan. Keep the pics and threads coming.

I’ve got 2 bins on the porch that hold a cord each. Those are my reserve. When one is empty I start using the other and fill the empty one when time permits. I start the season with both bins full.

I bring a wagon load of wood from the drying area to the porch weather permitting and try not to touch the reserve. The wagon load anywhere from a couple days to a week depending on the wood type and weather.

Our wood start with stacked wood up behind the house which is top covered. Next, we have a side deck which isn't used. No roof and opened all the way around. This will probably get torn down next year and a cement pad is going to be put in. When we first start bringing wood down for the winter, this is filled first and top covered. Then once we are done sitting on the front porch for the year we start filling this area up. One side row maybe 7 ft long by 5 1/2 tall. Then we have a row going across the front of the of the pouch that is 4 1/2 high by about 10/12 ft long. We do bring a cart load of wood in at a time. His cart loads are a lot bigger than my cart load.
