saewoody great shed what was Amazon connection for sliding doors.. My wife wants one now!!! Many Thanks .. Ball park prices when you get time.
Thanks Lyle. Whenever I am shopping on Amazon, I always look for lower prices by other sellers. That’s where the Amazon Warehouse Deals are located. They are basically returns to Amazon. I have never had a bad experience ordering these items. I’ve done for everything from pooper scoopers to car parts to sliding door hardware, as well as many other items. The only real downside is that it may take an extra day or two to get your item. In this case, the hardware I ordered for a 4’ door was $70 on Amazon, the Warehouse Deal was $50. And I was in luck because there happened to be 2 sets available at that price. So I saved $40 on the hardware. Here’s what it might look like. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Great thanks.. This with some of buZZsaw BRAD lumber deals could get me to where I need to be! Building code in my town says 150 sq ft year or less no permit reqd. I don't think they know how slow I am now
He gets lumber deals?! He’s in the New Haven area I think; only a half hour south of me. Wish I had known that! I took a picture of the supplies I took into Lowe’s and made my order with, including the item numbers (they really appreciated that!). I went straight to Pro Services, not a general cashier. You will see the last two items were not part of the shed; I needed to rebuild my steps to the back door. My wife also secured me a digital 10% off coupon that we used. And we paid for it by buying 3 $500 Visa gift cards from Stop & Shop (the local grocery chain). That gave us some amount of crazy gas points, so we got several tanks of free gas; and I think there was some amount of rebate my wife acquired through the deal. I’m not exactly sure how all that works. Items I ended up buying after the initial purchase were: 8 (I think) more 5/4x6x10. My original numbers didn’t quite work and I ended up going one board higher on each wall and put a diagonal brace on each wall. 1 or 2 4x4x8. These were for the bracing. I was able to make some with the leftover cut pieces from the posts, but not all. The sliding door hardware. Door lumber: 2 sheets of T1-11 plywood and an assortment of 1x4 and 1x6 A couple 30 packs of Budweiser for my buddy who helped, but he was good enough to share some with me! One other side note: I was looking at the lumber prices on the Lowe’s app just now. The lumber prices seem to fluctuate. Some items have gone down in price, while others have gone up. I think that’s everything. View attachment 228225 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I dont "get" deals i just happen upon them mostly by accident when im there. I could go there every day for a week or not for two months. Ive been doing business there since they opened so the guys know me and i occasionally get a heads up on a deal. The pro services manager knows how i love deals (who doesnt) and really works with me to move product. "Problem" at the time most of the discounted lumber was used on my friends projects. Shed/landscaping/daughters addition.
