I meant use it to heat the shed. However, yes, paying forward would be good and I did get a lot of help here; a saw for example. I have a lot to pay forward, I know. The problem is the baffle, if I give the stove to someone in need I really need to get that baffle fixed; I would not feel right if I didn't.
It is starting to get late so I guess I will work at cutting the pipe tomorrow. I was thinking I would light the first fire tonight but I don't want to screw up trying to cut the pipe tonight. The 1 foot section I picked up earlier is too tall so it will need to be cut as well.
Words origins can be fun. Wheelbarrow; barrow, Middle English barew, from Old English bearwe; akin to Old English beran to carry. Early editions were carried by two people on either side. Then some smart bloke figured out that putting a wheel in front and handles on the rear that one person could handle the same load; or maybe larger loads.
As I child I thought up that someone cut a barrel in 1/2 and put wheels on the bottom. Made sense to me for alot of years It wasn't until "spell check" came around for me to realize
You know, I remember hearing the same thing? But of course, my childhood was a lot longer ago then yours!!
Must've been worth alot of $$ to company who shipped of that stove, no? As I recall, there was quite an investment involved in the finding, donating and shipping of the stove. I also remember the person who donated the stove say he used it with no problems.... But yeah, steel is down a bit.
Yes, true, I could say, "Here is a stove that needs the baffle replaced." What I would really need to say is "Here is a stove and the baffle needs to be replaced. You need to grind out the weld here, and then take the old burned out plate to a machine shop to get a new one fabricated." Not so simple for most folks. I guess I could say, "Here is a stove with a burned out baffle plate so it is no longer classified as an EPA stove." I guess the last one in the list would be OK. The problem is I am a product of me Mum and Dad, Dad is telling me that I should fix the stove first because it may disadvantage the person that ends up with the stove.
