Nice! We have the same stove but in red. It’s great — you’re gonna love it. Heats up our 1000 SF house quite well. This was last February, burning walnut and oak mill ends.
The South. I live in Toronto. But our property is 2hrs SW of here. Pretty much across the lake from Erie, PA.
I don't have many pictures, surprisingly. Mostly took pictures of stuff being built so we could go over with various trades. However, first picture is the exterior of the residentiak part. Single level, four foot foundation. Wanted a clean/modern look. Second picture is the 40'x60' shop. Yes, very high ceiling. I plan on playing basketball at one end. Kids too.
All ya need is place to flop a cot in the corner and a countertop to cook on in the other...the rest is "shop", right?! Congrats GG...looks good!!
Well, they do have that framing technique where they basically do (2) 2x4 walls, an inner and an outer, where the studs are staggered and do not touch...supposed to be higher R value that way...can't remember what its called...here, well this is thicker than 8", but same idea. A Case for Double-Stud Walls - Fine Homebuilding Then there are these...and they are slick! Should keep the plumbers and electricians happy too! Tstud - Building Products, Inc.
Always exciting to me to hear of someone putting up a new build with a wood stove.I'm happy for you.Since your buying wood check out Canawick compressed hardwood blocks .They're made in Canada and heat very well in case you can't get really seasoned wood this late in the season. You can burn them alone or mix with semi seasoned wood to get the good heat going.
