Finally got a boat today . Very excited i am ! Up my way we have a ton of small ponds and lakes... and reservoirs that only allow electric motors.... So ive been looking for something light and easy to maneuver. Did a little trading... And this is what i came up with. An old Larson 12 ft aluminum with trailer. Has oars, anchor, and a few things to fix ! All the wood needs attention but thats it. Was on a trailer in a back yard ... And the boat had a ton of water in it... And none leaking out... So i assume that means that none will leak in ! I hope thats how it works ! So gonna get stuff transfered... Quick fix a few things... Then take it out on my lil pond before winter. The CRV handles it perfectly. Looks like a fun winter project . So long shore fishing
You should have fun with that. Looks like the old one we handed down to our son 10 years ago, who loves to fish. He fixed it all up and still loves it.
Looks like some new wood for the seats and it should be good to go!! Can't wait to see the fish pics!
Looking good HF! Some small time, do it yourself repairs and your good to go. And your timing is good too, you still have plenty of time to enjoy it before it goes into the backyard again for the winter. Pics from your bon voyage' next
Once you get all the wood out, wash out the inside with some hot bleachy water, it will look like new.
Nice little skiff there. I have a deep V 14 footer with a 25 merc that I use in the local river and salt marshes up here. It is light enough for me to load and unload myself. I can get in shallow and beach it if necessary. I stay just outside of the channel where the big boats are underway. Have fun, be safe.
Nice little boat Fuzz!! I grew up on the water. Since I was about 4 or 5 years old. But we only lived 1 mile from Lake Erie. Now I am about an hour south of the lake.. We have a pond to fish out of, but being on a boat is a completely different animal! World of fun on the water!! Congrats! !
