We don’t have many Hardwoods in my area, but we don’t have much poison ivy either, I have Never had to deal with PI when wood cutting. I have seen more Unicorns ON my woodsheds, than Oak in them, Hickory, Osage Orange? Just Rumors and Hersey, but Douglas Fir, White Fir, Hemlock and Alder heat our Home nicely For us “Hardwood” is wood that is either Too FAR from the trailer, DOWN HILL from the trailer, or all too often BOTH I will say though, that our Conifers are a DREAM to process. Get em on the Ground, walk the trunk with a 50cc buzzing off the limbs, and just let em lay in the Forest. After that, it is bucking telephone poles and loading nice straight rounds, very Fast and Pleasant work Doug
24 hours and no rashes. Looks like I made it out ok this time. I think you can develop an immunity to PI. I figure that if I expose myself to it all summer, every summer, my body might stop wiggin out after a while.
Looks like the Echo made quick work of it. Now that it's all said and done, whatcha think of processing the big stuff?
I went through a lot more gas than expected but it was great. I felt like I had a little more room to work on the positioning and angles, that was nice. I also had plenty of clearance. This was the first time I really gave the saw a workout. I was really impressed with it, I gave it some gas and it ran and ran and ran. No issues.
