I am very interested in my local spring deals. I am planning on adding a second stove and was going to do it this spring/summer. But now I think I am going to hold off a year to see how prices and availability plays out. Pellets at least around here have gone up quite a bit since I got my stove. Roughly $50 a ton. The box stores haven't risen that much. My feeling is that within a few yearspellet burning will become less and less desirable because the cost savings will be minimal. Guess we will see. May install a mini spit heat pump instead of the second stove......something to think about.
ye yea, tough call really......as for availability, don't see a real issue there....folks just might have to plan ahead a bit..........as no one can predict energy costs, who knows in that vein? Pellets have gone up, but what hasn't? Gas, oil, electric, coal, even wood, as well as pellets...
Propane hasn't gone up much for me. But still expensive to heat with. Electric has skyrocketed. Went from .14 a kwh to .21. That's a 50% increase from last year, bastards.
