shhhhhhh I am hunting wabbits..... I have to install a bunch of drain pipe and other uses around the ranch. I don't have a "need" for a full blown backhoe. this should work better than a shovel.... I will remove the front bucket from my front end loader and install this. I have another singel spool valve that will get mounted to operate this,and the grapple for my hay forks. I had most of the material laying around. I cut out some 1/4 for the bucket with a plasma cutter that I had stockpiled. the bucket measures about 10" wide. I used a 5 gallon bucket for the contour. Its not done. I still have to make another pivot point for the cylinder to bucket linkage. have to drill some more holes and then fab up a mounting plate my my quick attach front end and the cylinder mount. just been slowly plugging away at it when I have free time.
Man you are definitely talented. Do you do this all at home or at a full blown shop? I saw it's not your occupation but it could be.
well in the winters when we are slow (only 40hrs a week) I'll work on it after work, but the whole reason I bought my place was for the 48x40 shop attached to the house.... some day I'll have enough side work to work full time doing performance and fab work. I would love to buy a dyno to tune custom setups as most of the shops around here are less than stellar... don't mind the mess, still getting it sorted out and getting the mill, press, torches, plasma cutter-welding area, benches, etc set up. It was a short sale... I bought it for the garage and got a nice house with it.

I wish I could work with metal. Thankfully there are some people close by to me who do. So you are building a backhoe for the Beaver too?! Just great to see all the work you did with that thing. I never even seen or even heard of a Beaver tractor before. And I have owned several and looked at quite a few tractors! LOFL Don't those Ag tires make all the difference when dealing with the muck or snow?! They look awesome. Great job man!
Thanks man. Yeah it's amazing what filled ago tires can do. The beaver was light so it needed all the weight it could to effectively use the 15hp diesel power. Satoh made them from 1975-1979, then mitsubishi took them over. Mitsubishi made a 3cyl versions called the beaver 3. All the satoh tractors had animal names, elk, bison, beaver, and there were a couple more. Mitsubishi made them Through the mid 80's and once they made their own MT series, they got bigger and uglier square boxes. The satohs had a backwards fine spline pto. I didn't know that when I got it. Very hard to find attachment meant for CCW rotation and all the companies that pto reversers have since went belly up. The later mitsubishi beavers had normal pto's.
