Mulberry with a surprise

    Black locust has a bit of a bitter smell to it. It's quite in your face and some people really can't stand it. I don't love it but I don't mind it either. It burns super hot though and is just wonderful to split. It also dries out very quickly.

    The6 rounds of mulberry from the original post produced a 8ft pickup bed full of splits. I sorta forgot how much big rounds can produce. Thre biggest piece was the base of the tree measuring 41" across. Luckily my little crane didnt fail and I only pulled one fingernail from my finger. Split and debarked some more elm too, I had sitting by the splitter as well. Its in the dump trailer (it was partially loaded already). Bucked up a ash branch as well.
