You have to know your parts. Usually if you buy a Ford or Motorcraft part for your Ford and it's the right part number its the right price. Now if you go to car quest and buy the same part your liable to get something exact, close or misboxed....not picking on car quest just used them in place of a store...insert any aftermarket place u want
You want to tell us that if the ferrari have factory in china the cars that produce there are not ferrari ???
I'm sure you can get them to fit. It's usually just casting extra or too much length somewhere and can be made to fit
I know, you get what you pay for. The pawls were purchased from a shop that sells chainsaw replacements but they were not OEM. The spool I purchased off of fleabay. There is a shop in a nearby city that I think I saw Stihl on the outside of the building, so they have the OEM; I will ring them tomorrow and see.
In sure you can find the parts on ebay as well if that's an issue. May be worth it before driving all over.
Well, not all manufacturing parts are made in house. I don't know about Stihl. So say for the spool, they contract out to a third party and they supply the spool that is used in the saw. Now when the saw is out of production, the manufacture no longer needs the contract. GM contracts out to ACDelco, Ford contracted out to Motorcraft.
You see you pay once for the garbage aftermarkets and now you must pay again for the oems , plus the headache
for clearing the picture Oem means a part that made under some standards and specifications that the factory order in this standards we have types of materials , safety for the operators, accuracy dimensions and much more Now doesnt matter if this oem part are produce in Germany or in USA or in China if it have all the standards is OEM
The stihl produce all the parts except carbs , pistons , cylinders that they buy usually from mahle but under theirs standards
I did not see any OEM on fleabay. I will see about calling a dealer tomorrow to check. I want the Beast running again, I have wood to cut.

Sometimes you can sometimes not. There people that buy new saws just to tear them apart and sell them on ebay. Parts are worth more than the saw assembled new
You have to forgive me, I hope. I just get frustrated. I was going to get the Beast back in order and then things did not go well.
sometimes i buy theese saws the reason is that you can find good parts and sometimes the customers dont want to pay for a new part so they are happy if you give them a used oem with good price
