Well, he has had that museum quality 090 listed for over a year now. Seems he lets things set forever on Ebay and sells a lot of rope. They are not ported from what I can tell. Just new saws modified with funky bars. They must grind down the large mount bar somehow to make them fit the small mounts. So they become in effect, useless bars.

Lemme see if I still have those dawgs around. I think I still have them.

I may just buy an oversize set on eBay. But all I need is the crank dog. Its not there? The oversize look cool :)

Not ported yea a top handle 40 CC saw is pointless with a full comp 24" chain. Stupid.

According to the IPL there are 3 different sets of dawgs that came on the 066.

The spike I have has an old part number on it. 1122106, which matches the 1122101 outer. The new PN for these are 1122 664 0506 and 1122 664 0501. The 066 IPL shows that they fit both the large and small side covers.

Who has one of those??! LOL!! I Took the 16" off and put a big 20" on it :D. I don't need much bigger than 20", and it sure does run good with an 8 pin and 20"!!

    Sorry to hi jack..

Back to your regular scheduled programming.

Shaking head. Midwest Shrimpy Bar Disease! Complete waste of torque, unless you are cutting something like dry eucalyptus or madrone.

No use cutting 16" logs with a 36" bar either. It all depends on the job ahead of you.

Well, if you want to use that kind if logic, why reach for a 90cc+ saw for cutting a 16" log? I just do not see a job for that setup. I do not advocate that everyone run a 395xp with a 36 inch bar (your words, not mine), but they will run them. I would see no problem with cutting a 16 inch log with a far more reasonable 28 inch bar on that saw, which is what I would likely use.

There is obviously a paradigm contrast between Midwest and Eastern vs. Western fallers regarding bar length. As such, our debate will never be resolved. However, the OP is very extreme and bizarre. That TarzanZipLines fool is tweeking bars so far beyond their engineered design that it is absurd, even in terms of the western long bar paradigm.

This confuses me? You guys out there won't think twice about running a 28" bar on a MS361 but 36" is pushing it with a 395XP?

I wanted a 90cc and then I found the ms650. Its only 84cc but its close enough for me. I know I can put a 660 P/C on it but right now that's not on the horizon! :)
