    You have one?

I know you own a 2511? Does it come both rear and top handle?

I agree. And to top it off the bar is held on in such a way it makes the bar point down. Like a limp......well, you get the idea.

"Bad gas" I doubt they even looked at it the first time. If you end up ditching it check out an Echo 310.

That was the only saw I had for several years. Always started easily and had plenty of power for its size, once I opened up the muffler and removed the limiter caps on the carb needles. My nephew still has it. I only got rid of it because I found out I needed professional saws to be cool.

It was my first and only saw for a couple years too. Ive beat the hell out of it and even ran almost a full tank of gas through it while forgetting to fill the bar oil. It still has the original spark plug in it lol. I need to throw a tune up kit on it but these days I mainly use it for limbing.

Ugh, not sounding favorable. Might need to raise the flag the whole way to corporate and bypass that dealer if they're blaming you for something. Like you say, brand new saw should not ingest dirt unless it was assembled incorrect or?

tried calling dealer yesterday, no answer. Conveniently got an email from Stihl , a anniversary email for buying my saw exactly a year ago , with one of those “how are we doing” polls attached. Gonna wait to fill that one out

    I wouldn’t wait one bit.
And everything would be a “poor” rating. Especially relating to the dealer.

I’ve gotten better and faster responses that way.

    Perfect , what's their warrantee? 1 year??

Stihl : " I am sorry sir your saw is not covered under warrantee , it has been longer than 1 year "

i hate to do that just yet. They are still working through it. If they claim I did something then yeah , I will let them have it. Seriously tan that saw a handful of time and have multiple other Stihl saws. Not a rookie saw operator. If they do me right I will not rate them poorly.

It so 1 year , unless you buy a can of their gas or oil at time of purchase. Then it extends to 2 years, which I did - but only because I needed the oil at the tim.

the fact they are not answering their calls from you and pushing it off you did something is enough already.

I’ve gotten tired of taking responsibility for other peoples poor performance and doing their jobs. Stihl needs to know their dealers are behaving accordingly.

Agreed. Stihl sent the email I will pass along respectfully my thoughts on dealer. Will see if Stihl handles their end first

Suck’s you're having to deal with this. Wish you a successful and positive outcome. Hard to do with a pleasant demeanor when treated like that.

    UPDATE-
Stopped at the dealer today. Said that Stihl has acknowledged an issue with the air filter. Waiting on approval and they will put an updated filter in a brand new saw and off I go. Should have in a day or two. She already had a new saw sitting aside for me. And had another one come in yesterday. May work out after all.
