There was a restaurant in my hometown that had a two sided fireplace that took extra long splits. They would have them cribbed stacked right outside the entrance. I would always grab a log or two when we would go in and sometimes id even get to put them on the fire. My favorite cold weather place to eat out.
It went out of business a few years back and i miss it. It was called The Rustic Oak.
Paul bunion knows the place as well. They had some great homemade soups.

Had a coffee house in sturbridge ma, that had a big fireplace. With seating nearby. The second floor was open to the first, and had a buncha tables set around, both floors. Some seats were around a corner or indoor trees, for privacy. Cafeteria style, good coffee. Closed 5 years ago.
    Miss that place.

I'm a slacker, Only 5. Off this week for hunting, trying to get work done around the house too. Yesterday was a bust, had to get a root canal done and then went to work because people are incompetent.
Luckily, the gentleman understands I have work and family obligations. But I want to get it moved ASAP.

I cut everything 4'. You can stack the heck out of it and it sure is stable. And if you do a row one way and another row 90° and keep going on and on you can go quite high.
When ready for use a buzz saw will kick a chainsaws butt.

It sure can and to really make the wood fly put 3 people to work. It is amazing how fast a log pile can change into a firewood pile.

Not much action past weekend on moving any wood. Went back to work monday and wasn't able to bring any wood home until yesterday after work.

Today I started to stack. Kind of a PITA because I have to stack the majority of it up a hill in some clearings I have in the woods.
Only a quad and trailer to do the work.
