I remember one time I had cut a red oak and as we quit that day Judy was wondering how many women would be doing what she had done. While I was cutting, she would roll the logs over to the trailer and once in a while she would even wrestle one into the trailer too! Those buggers were heavy but she loved doing it.

I also remember one time one of our sons got into a lazy streak. I'd tell him to get a certain log but he would not want to. It was too heavy. After a couple times of this I told him to never mind. His mother would do it...and she did. It did not take many times of this and that was the end of that stage of his life.

That’s a great story! Must’ve figured that was the motivation he needed, huh? What was your plan if he was ok with mom doin his job? We have a son and a daughter and they are so different . Deal with each differently as they are motivated differently Still learning and trying to train them up!

With this son I had no doubt it would work. However, I knew how to take care of the situation if it didn't and he knew too.

Our two sons had to be treated differently. One I could shame into doing something but the other always seemed to need a little persuasion.
