Good question, what were their plans? They save any of it or all in the dump? Nice loads of wood Brad. That should keep the gas station wood buyers happy for awhile.
Good question? Seems they list logs from their cuts on FBM. Kid mentioned his father takes some. Not sure how he will dispose of the gnarly logs left behind. It was subcontracted out to another tree service.
He will. Most of their work is in the immediate area. He said he would give me a 2-3 day heads up for me to check it out. Honestly don't think they do much in the way of tree work. Couple "kids" doing landscaping. Either way its good to have connections.
They certainly made a mess. Doesn't look very professional if they left it like that even for a short time. That stump looks like a nightmare to cut down and get rid of. Glad you are able to pick and choose the easy/better stuff though.
I wasn't that impressed with the work the company he subcontracted it out to did. Rather hastily cut and felled. A cheap job maybe? Didn't realize he had it listed on FBM so other hoarders could have been picking away at the big tree. Plenty of gnarly chunks left there. Plus he's just a kid and from the looks of his cuts and what the neighbor (a former tree guy) told me didn't seem to know what he was doing. Yes its a HUGE plus to be able to pick and choose what I want and leave the mess.
Added to the stack of maple rounds. Red & sugar from a couple other scores plus two loads from this cut. Started a fourth row. Close to two cords worth.
