Used to love Tabasco. I pounded it on everything. Mostly use Louisiana Hot sauce anymore. Definitely prefer more taste, less hot. Also like the fermented kinda vinegar flavor. Have never tried Frank's or Texas Pete. Where do they rate on the hotness/flavor scale?

I wouldn’t consider Texas Pete or Franks as hot but more spicy. It’s the perfect companion for fried chicken.

Yeah, I think most of the ones that have been mentioned are more spicy than hot like Chud said, although sometimes the same sauce will hit me as a little hotter than other times. And totally understand and agree with you metalcuttr, I too have gotten to like that vinegary fermented pepper flavor over the heat aspect. I have no interest and want no parts of these insane sauces that are supposed to make you cry and snot and blow the top of your head off. I like to taste my food and sauce and enjoy it.
