Wow Tim very nice!!! I’m more than a little envious after spending 3 hours having my kidneys donkey kicked mowing my “yard” (old pasture I’ve nicknamed rocky comfort) yesterday. Congrats brother!

I don't know who gave you this information but some of it is incorrect. Excel industries started making Hustler turf equipment in 1964. It was the very first zero turn mower. Excel also owns BigDog mowers. There was a rumor that Stanley was buying out Excel. I don't know if that ever happened or not. They are not affiliated with BadBoy mowers.

A Simplicity garden tractor was on my short list. My dad's neighbor had one that was 4wd.
(I found out yesterday, B&S owns Simplicity and Ferris and after some years of low sales, they started putting Simplicity paint on the previous Ferris model zt's to boost sales...)

That explains why every ferris I have seen has a Briggs engine in it.

Did already. Just trying to get the height adjustments figured out. I mowed Wednesday and got mine all done with the old tractor, but I only got started on the neighbor's before things went south and i limped it home. So i did some cutting here and re-cut some of the neighbor's then cut it loose and finished.

I'm cutting about 3 acres for the neighbor. I think it'll shave 1.5 hours off of her yard.:dex:
But I'll probably be stuck with a little more trimming/weed eating with the 61" deck...
    But it pays really good

I run my tires at 50% of the recommended pressure...helps take the edge off those rough yards...doesn't seem to cause any issues either. But, also doesn't help as much since mounting my new ag tread tires on the back last year...they are 4 ply instead of 2...haven't been stuck again since then though either!

There has never been such a thing. All of their "entry-level" lawn tractors and zero-turns are Deere-built in Greeneville TN.
