from this last storm on Monday, I think the big pine will be milled next year. Pic 7969 is another cherry leaner with some smaller maple in the background, pic 7971 can stay until mother nature brings it down....7975 & 77 is the cherry at the base of the hill that had a good lean to it.

Wow! You must have had some pretty good winds to snap some of those guys. Is that area close to the top or in an area where the winds get channeled? pic 7973 is almost Heavenly.... would make a great background on the computer.

That is at the base of the hill, Sav told me two years ago when they were here it should be taken down, thank you mother nature.

Picture 7973 was taken when I came down the trail, when I was going up, the sun almost made me run in to a beech round someone left on the side of the trail.

I forgot this beech, it's up in what we call the bowl, I'll get this before winter. I still have a big azz cherry (not pictured) up here too.

I still need to check up top.

Not yet, I have a few that I'm hoping are good, most of the cherry here has a rot in them.

Nice pics there woodlands. Hey I meant to ask you. Was the bald eagle you have in your avatar taken around your home or work area? I have seen several now in the area along the St. Lawrence between Alexandria Bay and Massena. They also have helped out several other birds of prey here along the river. Building nest for them atop power poles so they are not close to the wires and such.

The avatar pic came from a dead tree along the brook, he was fishing.
