Did another 2 loads of Ash into the shed today. This was the first load.....I forgot a pic of the 2nd. Looked a lot like this one.
Looks good man. Got a couple loads in the taken out of retirement trailer today as the rains aint supposed to happen till tonite now. Not a good pic but 4 deer and the little black dot on the right is a turkey. Found a very large dead ash that I somehow didn't see the past while? Had 2 big dead limbs up high and the one that was aiming straight down just missed me when I was running like a scared little girl. I'll deal with later as it is wet wet where it is and the truck wouldn't stand a chance.
You can still run? My knees make walking look like the Old Man (Tim Conway) on the Carol Burnett show. Running isn't an option anymore. I'd be shufflin' like a mo-f....uh, crazy.
Well, one of the posts decided it was no longer needed and broke at ground level (where they always do). Not sure why it broke, as I just emptied the stacks that it was between so there was no pressure on it from either side. Came in the house after splitting and moving some more Ash, and when I went back out, something didn't look right. The post....what was left of it anyway.......was horizontal. These have been in the ground there since October of '15 if memory serves. So, a bit over 3.5 years. Sorry no pic, but no camera with me.
