    Man, that 880 is a beast !! Red Maple isn't real common these parts, as far as I know. Fine job resawing on the band saw. I'd put money on there being a market for any of that lumber if a fellow was inclined to sell.

    On a side note, my dad would use a draw knife and use 4x4 hickory or ash to hand make cant hook handles. He'd do the same with 3x3 hickory or ash for post hole digger handles and wheel barrow handles. 3x3's also were drawn down for many a hand axe and hammer handle.
