Our local parade is today (huge!) then a carnival and a huge softball tournament all week, fireworks Saturday night...at which time we go from a population of 8500, to estimates of 100k people in town , fireworks end about 10:30, traffic ends about 12:30!

Maybe it’s a Connecticut thing then. We all have a stick up our you-know-what in the constipation errr constitution state  On Saturday night the neighbor behind me had a 2 hour extravaganza with mortars. Halfway through, a block down another person started one upping him. Then a 3rd guy on a hill a half mile away started blowing off everything he had.

Left the monster in law to fend for herself for a few hours while we took the side by side to lunch. Mount Chase Maine where moose outnumber people most of the year. Employees are all decked out for the 4th. Vicki the 75 year old bartender had a matching outfit as Jerry here. 4EA241DF-0283-43F7-8EDE-67A4D38A2688.jpeg

    Bingo!

We loved snowmobiling in aroostook. Portage, oxbow, and shin pond were always fun lunch/fuel destinations. We'd like to try atv'ing (sxs) there. Got time for a PM?

Well, they say it has been a record travel holiday, so maybe they are all out of town - like up here in NH where they have all been disappointed since it's been nonstop rain, thunderstorms, downpours and flash floods (and we aren't even close to the worst area for that). A lot of towns postponed fireworks too.

Farms get a USDA Cenus that you are "required" to return. I suppose they could hold back subsidies if you didn't return a completed form, but I wouldn't know, since we don't receive any. Over the years I have file 13'ed the envelopes over the course of a few months and never heard anything more.

I think my dad had the family farm in some programs. I guess I'll know more if, and when, we start getting the cenus for that property, now that he has passed away.

    Good point!

Maybe there'll be another tax credit to make it all better for them?

valid point. The new big hope is hydrogen. We spent 400 billion to lure European companies to the US in hopes they can come up with a viable solution. Why did we spend so much money? No one else would.

One more tax credit and I’m Jumping in with both feet. Just love all the tax incentives. Then I can go buy an EV that way I won’t be able to work because I travel over the range daily and I don’t think AAA will boost that.
