Kaolin clay products. It s a white clay that is mined in this area. Some is used as pigments in paint, compounding rubber and vinyl products, concrete industries...
I run a calciner, type of kiln.
This is the kaolin exiting the bottom...about 1700°F

A few pictures of our plant...
Our Hydrous clay bagger (not calcined) and warehouse. It puts empty bags on spout, fills them, goes on conveyor that squeezes the air out, stencils bags and stacks on pallet. 2-3 men run this machine. These are all 50# bags. 20240418_015249.jpg
    20240418_015358.jpg 20240418_015427.jpg
This is one of our semi-bulk baggers. It fills bags from 1000-2205#. 4 men run this system, can produce over 100 tons per side daily. 20240418_015859.jpg

Our newest 50-55# calcined clay bagger, they bag some of the clay I produce... 20240418_020102.jpg

Rack storage system here holds 50# and semi-bulk bags... 20240418_020139.jpg 20240418_020347.jpg

That'd be fun to watch. I'm always fascinated with the way things get put together and the logistics behind it,

What do they manufacture there Jeff?

I've been looking for a guy to "hook me up" with some calcinated kaolin clay!
I find it fascinating how all of these base types additives/products uses are discovered, processed and found uses for. Maybe if I was a chemist.... or something else that I'm not:whistle:
    Cool pics Jeff
