I don't know much about other brands these are my first cams but,Do your research you will find many rave reviews about the Wyze Cams More info https://www.wyzecam.com/wyze-cam-getting-started/
No. Arlo's are far and away more advanced than this. They also cost more, but they are really no comparison. I spent the weekend hooking up a 4 cam Arlo pro setup.
A lot more than $25. For the price, and monitoring a stove, this is a deal. $180 for an Arlo pro 2. But they do things that are unnecessary for this application.
Doing some research on the Arlo's and Nest , I see they are actually not far and away more advanced than the Wyze cams for indoor use, and Arlo's and Nest are not microSD card capable for event or continuous recording and storage
Indoor use, that's one thing. The outdoor and no power needed ( battery) are a big thing . There's where the far and away comment comes in. The app is impressive as well, auto recording any motion, day or night, having 2 way voice conversation even remotely isi another, plus an alarm too. For $25, these wyze cameras do a lot though.
Can these Wyze cameras be “linked” together (for more than one in the home) or do you have to view them separately, in a sense?
Wyze cams do all this (auto recording any motion, day or night, having 2 way voice conversation even remotely isi another) but no alarm cuz there is no base station needed. Wyze Is working on an outdoor camera, Don't know when it will come out yet or if it will be battery powered ,
You can set up as many as you want they are all viewable on the app ,I have 4 in the house (one is just for monitoring my stove temp) and one in the pole barn , one is a Pan Cam ,they are 30 bucks + shipping. The cams also ave a USB power out on the back that lets you daisy chain them together, they all work with IFTTT also. https://www.wyzecam.com/wyze-cam-pan/ https://www.wyzecam.com/wyze-cam-pan-getting-started/
