I live close to the Oregon coast. I’ve cut fresh Alder, split and stacked outside by the time Summer arrived, moved it under cover and had it ready to burn in the Fall. I’m far enough ahead where I no longer do this, but it can be done. I haven’t had opportunity to try this with Douglas Fir and other species. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
