I bought my MM and IR as a package. From Amazon, and they are orange. I had probably 3 sentences in my IR instructions, think I have the same brand as you SeanG.
Ah, that is written in 'Chinglish'. I am modestly familiar with that language but fluent in Japglish and Gerglish. As others have said, it sounds like the wood is quite wet and either the meter is not reading properly or perhaps it is not being used quite correctly. Air dried firewood will not reach moisture levels that low unless it was dried in the Mojave. Brian
I think there is 1 lesson to be learned from this post. Amazon and Orange. Or is it Omazon and Arange? This is making my brain hurt.
For sure, dont understand some of the posts on here, it seems like some people suffer from "my own little world syndrome".
Curious..... as I've read in these great annals of shared knowledge, it's important to align the pins with the same grain.... Yes/no? Eric VW PS- not saying you didn't do that....
It's something I read about somewhere in here.... I've yet to receive mine from Thingamazon, got some orange, and some green colors on it... We shall see.... Eric VW
Yes it has been said before and it might be in the instructions but mine works just fine with out doing it.
Gotcha, old spark- as a former test technician at our factory(transformers) I too believe that there many ways to skin (or fry!) a cat when using equipment to test electrical properties. As I also said, I haven't received mine in the mail yet, and I will definitely check both ways to put this one to bed for piece of mind! Seems by guessing alone, the thing would read just fine no matter how ya stuck it in da wood! Eric VW
I drink to much beer with my pop corn so I think it is best we don't go there. Kinda like Mag and her Palmolive, I aint soakin in it but.....
