Is a ground bond required by code? or install manual

First time I've ever heard of a stove needing to be grounded

I believe it's because it's a mobile home. The manual requires it. Perhaps they think I'll take it on the road and develope a static charge :)

    That's what I assumed.
Either that or it can become a lighting rod - which would be the case in any home.
Or it may be to overcome any deficiency in the Mhome's existing ground circuitry - especially with a blower kit

This is what I'd do if unsure call your fire department or insurance company?

But don't go by regular burning. One has to build the install with an overfire in mind. Protection, protection, protection. Do more than necessary and pray it is never needed and all will be well.

I have to agree with Backwoods. Even the most experienced wood burner can have one of those "uh-oh it's gone nuclear" moments.

I'd put one of these on the wall at the corner of the stove, it'll blend right in with the black stove and then you'll have piece of mind. Lowes, comes in 2 sizes

Looking great! I too have a mobile home (3 beds, 2 bath). I've had my eye on a Blaze King Princess for a while, but am still using my Country Hearth from Tractor Supply. It's my only heat source and does a great job. I would put some stove board on the wall too.

It's at the dealers. Waiting on them to schedule the install. Talk about so near and yet so far!

First fire and then this evening letting her rip. Feels so good in here. Not a day to soon since we're supposed to get about 3-8 inches of snow by Saturday morning. Furnace has not turned on. I'm so happy and so is my wife.
