    Ok the app is definitely not 100% - it ID'd that maple as an American Elm! An elm it is certainly not......

    I've found that (usually) there is a "pin hole" in the center of the ash pith.

    I have checked apps on trees I’m 100% on and they took several tries to get a correct guess.
