Got pics of the air filter? The new Stihl's look to have an upper hand on Husky in the air filter department IM very limited O. Can't say I've ever been inside a Dolly.

The air filtration is second to none. Even the air filter area stays fairly free from debris.

Stihl changed the filter on the MS362C to a far superior setup over what was on the previous 362s.

The only thing the 6100 lacks is M-tronic/Auto-Tune but I'm sure there's plenty of customers that don't mind, especially at its price point.

I like the idea of auto tune. But I hate having to relying on someone else if something goes wonky. Mainly because I break everything lol. I do think that in a few years some form of electronic fuel delivery will be the standard even on homeowner saws.

No but that is only because in my area we have poor husqvarna support.

I'm sure interested. This dolkitas are the best bang for the buck saws, the echo would be another.

I like that you compared it to a stock saw. It looks like the ported one is 30% faster.

here is something to add in to the comparison. Video of a stock 620PW on its 4th or 5th tank of fuel and a stock 6100 on roughly the same number of tanks. Both chains sharpened on a grinder to the exact same angles and cutter length. I went to allot of trouble trying to make sure the chains were equal. Yes it would have been better to use 2 new off the roll chains but i have 20 or 30 chains so i dont need anymore.

Same amount of tanks, wouldn't that mean the dolmar had twice the run time?
    Lol
I wish I could of found a 620 to play with but I am pretty sure that I would still have chosen the 6100.

Let's finish this up boys. These saws are down I like saw #1 the best after reporting it and I only made a couple small changes in it. Lets start with the exhaust. I added more time area over saw #1. It's at 70% the bore now with a lot flatter exhaust roof height. Nothing fancy but here's the roughed in pics before I polished it. The top pic is roughed in saw #2. Bottom 2 are saw #1 roughed in now. 20151107_113307.jpg 20151112_200918.jpg 20151112_200838.jpg

Next let's talk intake. On this as well I just made it larger. It is right at 70% as well along with a little less dome on top and straighter sides to add more time area. 20151107_113249.jpg

On the intake. When I do the next saw this is one area I want to do some more playing. Instead of lowering it on the next saw I will cut the piston skirt to get my duration. The purpose to this is that it will make the bottom of the piston wider so I can make my exhaust floor wider eliminating some of the need to taper up the lower corners. 20151107_113221.jpg

Last but not least change I raised the lower trans .040 over stock or .020 more over saw #2. It's hard to tell but the case entrances are very shallow. All I'm doing bye raising it is attempting to get the inlet size closer to the size of the trans tunnel. More flow baby! Lol. 20151112_200808.jpg 20151107_113221.jpg

I got quite a bit of rum time on these saws sun cutting wood. More on this saw than #2. Both great runners. The biggest thing you notice on saw #1 now that it's opened up more is it spools faster and does carry a little more rpm in the cut. I forgot to post this but I set this one's numbers at 103/119/75. There both running just over 200 comp. And not even close to broke in.

I'm going to sell saw #2 and then as saw 1 breaks in a little bit I will play with the timing. :).
